Children: Oliver (preschool), Benjamin (infant)

For the first few months of his life, Mike and Canh’s son Oliver was at home with his dads. He had plenty of adult attention but not a lot of socialization with little ones his own age. They knew they didn’t want Oliver stuck inside a small New York City apartment with a nanny all day. They decided group child care—and all of the education and socialization that came along with it—was the right way to go for their family. 

“We wanted to have him in a setting where we knew he was going to be around other kids,” Mike said. “Seeing what other kids should be doing, hitting the milestones and everything. That was important to us.”

They toured a few different child care centers, and while they felt their child would have been safe at any of them—they knew there is so much more that goes into an amazing child care experience than just safety.

Vivvi felt like a fit from the very beginning.

“The education aspect was really what did it for us,” he said. 

Oliver joined the Vivvi family as an infant, and has since transitioned into the toddler and then preschool room—and now he’s joined by little brother Benjamin.

“Being able to trust that he’s not just going to be taken great care of, but also that his developmental milestones will be at the forefront of the day,” Mike said. “It’s been amazing.”
